I was driving in traffic and saw a landscape company truck with a logo of a tree with big giant leaves. The leaves looked like hands to me.  When I got home  I sketched this out on my iPad.

Finger Lickin Good

I was going through some old files and came across something I was going to do one day. Years went by and I never got around to doing it. I decided to get it done but it didn’t enthuse me enough to make it a major project so I dug my seldom used chalk pastels out of the closet and did this quick rendering. It’s interesting that the scanner picks up some strokes that are not as evident to the eye.

I intended to do this study on canvas but changed my mind to use Bristol board. While I was digging through my flat file for the board I saw a book of watercolor paper and decided to try that instead.
