Poppy Field at Sunset

It is what it is: a painting I really didn’t want to do in the first place and didn’t want to continue once it was started. But I was determined to struggle through. I finally reached a point where I thought, “I’m done.”

Rock Steps

I had the pleasure of visiting Holliday Park in Indianapolis and wandered around in the woods on the nature trails stopping briefly to take a photo of some rock steps on the trail. Here they are converted to an acrylic painting.

It’s summer so I decided to post a vacation drawing. One of those relaxing vacations – just sit around and don’t do much. Lots of lollygaggin’. With sketchpad on my lap I took the time to sketch the walkway over the dunes to the beach. This is on Galveston Island, Texas.
