My German ancestors came to the US around 1850. Some of the family stayed in Germany. More than 160 years later we have been able to reconnect with our kinfolk in the “old country.“ Thanks, internet. My fourth cousin, who lives in the same small German village, recently came to Texas to visit us. He brought his granddaughter with him. Here she is:
