Princess Zombie Santa
While visiting a couple of my grandkids for Christmas they made requests for drawings. Since it was Christmas they both wanted Santa cartoons. One wanted Santa wearing a tutu. The other wanted a zombie Santa. One grandkid is a 5 year old girl; the other, an 8 year old boy. I’ll let you figure out who asked for what.

Drummer Girl
While looking through my “things to draw” folder I came across the photo I took of an intriguing looking drummer at one of those Renaissance-type festivals I visited last Spring. Even though I think I could have done much better using color pencils I was determined to use acrylics since it had been too long since the last time I picked up a brush.
I rarely use any black when painting but since her outfit was black and red I decided to be bold and give it a try. I’m still not a big fan of black. Oh well.

Darth Fisher
Another drawing request from a grandkid: “How about Darth Vader fishing.” No, I do not know where he gets his ideas. With him sitting beside me this is what I came up with. And by “sitting beside me” I mean squirming, bouncing, leaving, returning, bumping my arm, apologizing, etc. I love every minute of it.
