Back in the olden days I would often do my drawings sitting in the den with a drawing board on my lap. Just for the heckuvit I decided I would try that again. I chose to do a simple charcoal sketch. While it was fun I think I’ll stick to my easel in the studio.
Gene Tierney is the most beautiful woman in the history of cinema. And I say that with great respect to so many lovely ladies over the years. When I came across a photo of Ms Tierney without much make up I was committed to doing a drawing. Unfortunately, the drawing-board-in-the-lap-in-the-Lazy-Boy-in-the-den experiment didn’t do her justice. But I think her natural beauty still comes out.
