Restful Arms

While collecting photographs to accompany my song “Four Little Hearts” I came across a really cute one showing a sleeping baby, her proud “Mimi” and a smiling big brother. They’re all sitting on a porch swing. I decided to draw a detail of the photo focusing just on the baby resting comfortably in her grandmother’s arms.

Normally when I do a pencil drawing I rely on a single pencil and maybe some white to highlight. For this drawing I used a range of grays, utilizing 5 or 6 separate pencils; no black.
