Following the All Saints Day tradition of Dia de los Muertos, I offer a toast to all my ancestors, recognizing my Texas roots. I started with the usual nations of the six flags: Spain, France, Mexico, the Republic of Texas, the Confederate States of America and the United States of America. Then I added the peoples who have had a major impact on everything Texana: native Americans, African Americans and German Americans. I toast you all!
