Digital illustration. American actress, Marsha Hunt, celebrated her 104th birthday last October (1917)! The tool has a soft appearance that I made even softer by drawing in gray and overlapping the strokes to get black.

Digital illustration. Recently my mind wandered off to Gary Cooper. So I looked him up on the internet. I came across several photos of him with actress Fay Wray in the 1928 movie, The First Kiss. Here’s a sketch of one. Done on the Apple iPad using Adobe Fresco.

Digital illustration. Another actress from the past, Felicia Farr. Born in 1932, she’s still with us. I sketched out the colors and was going to blend them when I thought, no, I like it just like this.

Digital illustration. Bessie Love, 1898-1986, another one of my silent movie discoveries. Her real name was Juanita Horton and she was born in Midland Texas. I used her photo to experiment with a new Adobe Fresco brush.
