Louise

Sunday, March 31st, 2019

This is Louise Brooks. She was an actress in the 1920s and 30s. A true “flapper girl.“ She helped popularize the bob hairstyle. Apparently, she was something of a hedonist. But I didn’t draw her because of all that. I just thought she was pretty.

Kriemhild

Sunday, March 10th, 2019

This is a depiction of Kriemhild from a beautiful sculpture (Nibelungen-Brunnen, “Nibelungen Fountain”) in Tulln, Austria by Michail Nogin of her meeting with King Etzel. Norma

I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep.  After a couple of games of solitaire on my iPad I decided I would draw something. I did this sketch of long ago actress Norma Shearer.
